Here is a photo of Michael and Stacey handing out blankets and bedding for the native people who have no permanent homes near our school site. It is winter time and this photo was captured this past December, 2017. Although the days are warm and 30 plus degrees celcius, the evenings are quite cool.

Nithya Sakthivel met with The Steele Family Foundation's BOD this past week in Seattle, WA to discuss her detailed plans and visions for the school site and program. Nithya comes to us as an Architect in India and with a Masters of Architecture from the University of Oregon in Portland. What is also valuable and very helpful is that Nithya is from Banglaore, a major city only hours outside of the school site. Our meeting was very constructive and highlighted many new and exciting plans. We are very happy to have Nithya as part of our growing team.
We enjoyed a lovely event yesterday, at Saint Michael's Cathedral Basilica, celebrating the Archdiocese of Toronto's 175 year anniversary, with the main celebrant, His Eminence Thomas Cardinal Collins, Archbishop of Toronto. A beautiful luncheon followed at the Marriott hotel, where a large crowd gathered to give thanks and praise as a community of faith. Special guest, Mayor of Toronto John Tory, was there to commemorate.
We invite you to take a look at the work being done for the Sacred Trust School Project below. There is still lots of work to be done, but progress is well underway. We are eager to share more updates with you, our fellow supporters and donors, as we go along. Check back for progress updates and feel free to reach out to us anytime with inquiries as we love to hear from you. The Steele Family Foundation has recently sent a second donation of $30,000 dollars to this cause, bringing the total to $60,000 donated so far this year (2017), and close to $200,000 to date.
