• Donate Securities/Shares:
  A good reason to donate appreciated stocks or mutual fund units is that the CRA waives the capital gains tax on the shares/units donated. The donor therefore receives the usual charitable contribution tax receipt and associated tax deduction plus the capital gains tax is waived.
