Mary Statue has a new home
03/23/10 at 04:22:11 PM
Several months ago, Father Bob from St. John's Church Albion in Caledon, ON was replacing the parish's statue of Mary with a new one. Michael Steele, of The Steele Family Foundation, heard of this and had an idea to give the old statue a new home. The family's foundation funded its restoration and donated Our Lady today to the so ever grateful sisters at Mother Teresa's Missionaries of Charity, located on Dunn Ave. in Toronto. The statue looks as if it was brand new.

The Haitian Challenge Update
02/10/10 at 07:00:00 PM
Dear Friends,
Through our fundraising efforts over the past few weeks, we have raised a successful $20,000 for the Haiti crisis. As promised, we will double this amount, resulting in $40,000, which we will donate to the Humanitarian Coalition this week. We will meet the Government's deadline of February 12th, resulting in another doubling of funds, to produce an end result of $80,000!
Many thanks to everyone who participated and supported this challenge. We are very grateful for everything that has been donated and we hope you feel a sense of pride, as we do.

Thank you for your support.
